The invisible world appeals to Morris. He has been quite happy this month with all the disappearances. The sun, the moon, and most good humour has been laid under a thick film. But Morris knows that invisible things are as real as the ones he can hold in his hand, and so he finds that these times (when the world is mostly gone) are the best for seeing everything at once. Morris is a trip.
